My name is Rahul Paul and I am a software engineer working in Infosys Technologies Ltd., Chennai. I did my B.E. from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Calcutta (IIIT-C) where I studied Information Technology. I belong to the wonderful country - India. I was born on the 17th of November, 1981 at a beautiful place called Ranchi in the state of Jharkhand (then called Bihar) in the eastern part of India. Currently, I live in Chennai with my friends. I have one elder sister.

Being a student of Information Technology, I am naturally very interested in computers. I am a die-hard programmer and mainly do all the programming in C++. In my engineering course, I have learnt various computer topics like Operating System, DBMS, Computer Networks, Computer Organization, Digital Logic Design and Operations Research. My areas of interest are GNU/Linux and programming in C and C++. I am a big supporter of the Free Software philosophy given by the great Richard Stallman (RMS). I am a very simple guy and love making friends. Having stayed in three places so far means that I have a lot of friends from all these places and I feel fortunate for that. My hobbies include reading, music, movies, soccer, quizzing and programming. I like all kinds of music, especially country and rock music.
